ENDOSCOPIC (MINIMAL INCISION) FACE,
MIDFACE OR CHEEK LIFT
®
For a smoother, fresher face

The aging process can be very unforgiving, as the skin and muscles of our faces begin to weaken and sag. Endoscopic surgery is a wonderful innovation which utilizes smaller incisions than a traditional face lift, thus producing very minimal scarring and targeting the specific problem areas.

What is an Endoscopic Face, Midface or Cheek Lift?
An endoscopic face, midface or cheek lift is a procedure to lift sagging portions of the face, reducing wrinkles and creating a younger appearance. A tiny lens is inserted in your mouth or temple through small incisions that will be invisible after healing. The lens allows the surgeon to watch the procedure on a screen and perform the surgery without having to make large incisions.
A lift is exactly what it sounds like - the doctor lifts the sagging tissue with very small instruments inserted through the incisions in your mouth and temple.
Simulated photographs showing how you will look after a lift can help you decide if the procedure is for you.

What Can an Endoscopic Lift Do For Me?
* An endoscopic midface or cheek lift can lift sagging cheeks.
* If you have deep lines between the nose and cheeks or between the nose and mouth, an endoscopic cheek lift can reduce them.
* An endoscopic midface or cheek lift can slightly raise the corners of your mouth.
* An endoscopic face, midface or cheek lift creates a natural appearance by moving the sagging tissue upward rather than out to the side.
* The recovery time and discomfort is minimal with an endoscopic lift compared to other surgical procedures.

What Does an Endoscopic Lift Feel Like?
* An endoscopic lift is usually an outpatient procedure that requires only a local anesthetic, which means you will be awake during the surgery but will experience no pain. In some cases, a general anesthesia to make you sleep during the surgery is recommended.
* While you will feel no pain during the procedure due to the anesthetic, you may experience some pulling and mild discomfort.
* Most endoscopic lifts take two hours or less to perform.

What Can I Expect After the Procedure?
* You may go home after the procedure and wear makeup immediately, but you may need someone to drive you home until the effects of the anesthesia wear off.
* Some swelling and bruising can be expected for one to two weeks after the surgery. A cold compress or ice pack, as well as elevation of your head, can reduce the swelling and relieve the soreness.
* The incisions may itch and grow a bit numb during the healing process.
* The stitches can be removed within a week and a half after surgery.
* Often, an endoscopic lift is performed in conjunction with other procedures, such as a brow lift or eyelid surgery, which will alter your healing time and post-surgical care.

What are the Risks of an Endoscopic Face, Midface or Cheek Lift?
As with any surgery, there is some risk of bleeding, infection, or a reaction to the anesthetic. However, endoscopic face, midface or cheek lift is an exceedingly safe surgical procedure, and complications are rare.
